Write a concise (one-page) reflection summary of your technology tool’s goal, objectives, and strategies. A goal is the big outcome. What did you find that your learning community wanted to emphasize? Perhaps your community wanted to improve mathematics scores or reading scores. Or perhaps, your community wants to develop Internet safety? Let’s imagine, for example, one’s goal was to improve reading scores. The candidate would restate this as a measurable statement (e.g., each student will increase their reading scores by one grade level from their existing ability by the end of the school year.). Now, the candidate needs to write their objectives to accomplish this goal. Using the above reading example, the candidate might state, “Each student will add 20 sight words to their reading list each quarter”, or, “Every student will increase their vocabulary by 10% each quarter.” Finally, you must explain your strategies. How does your technology tool allow you to meet those learning objectives? An example for the above scenario might be, “Students will complete 10 minutes of Simon Says (reading app game) to practice sight words.” Once you have written your one-page reflection summary, you must write your two surveys. You may create a Google Form or simply write the surveys in Word. The first survey must evaluate the instructor’s experience with the technology tool. In the end, you want to be able to determine if the instructors found the tool helpful. Keep your survey to about 10-15 questions. You may use a Likert scale (1 = poor, 5 = excellent). Your questions might include: The technology tool was easy to use. (1 = disagree, 5 = strongly agree) The technology tool kept students engaged. (1 = disagree, 5 = strongly agree) Similarly, you need to evaluate your students’ experience with the tool. Develop a second survey for them. These surveys would allow you to determine the next steps in your Instructional Design efforts. Use current APA format in your submission. Note: Your assignment will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.
